Project Manager

Position Summary

At Initium, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. We are a boutique consulting firm specializing in Healthcare Strategic and Operational Consulting, Data Analytics, Real World Evidence, and Supply Chain. We are looking for an experienced project manager to help lead and manage a variety of healthcare projects spanning pharmacy, supply chain, laboratory operations and more, including managing client relationships, ensuring timely completion of deliverables, and leading internal teams. Project Manager Responsibilities

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and collaborate with internal and geographically dispersed cross-functional teams, vendors and clients to develop strategies to successfully execute deliverables and monitor checkpoint progress

  • Proactively maintain project mitigation activities including at-risk milestones with appropriate team members and senior management. Recognize issues and identify solutions.

  • Create long- and short-term project plans and Gantt charts, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.

  • Delegate tasks on the project to team members best positioned to complete them.

  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.

  • Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or resources for the project change.

  • Lead stakeholder meetings communicating the status of the project, milestones, and coordinated key activities across the initiative life cycle, ensuring a solid and properly executed solution. Maintain documented history of meeting minutes. Distribute next steps to all participants after meetings.

  • Drive and track day-to-day project work, manage risks and resolve project team issues, facilitate decision making within the team.

  • Track and manage the financial aspects of the project including oversight of 3rd party vendors, contractors and consultants, where applicable.

  • Communicate regularly with the principals, staff and client teams.

  • Prepares written reports and presentations for clients and internal teams.

  • Tailor style to a broad range of audiences and situations including client senior executives.


  • A bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience, including emphasis in working in health care environment either in pharmacy, supply chain, public health, healthcare administration or healthcare technology.

  • Prior administrative or client services experience within a healthcare entity or public health organization preferred.

  • Commitment to excellent customer service.

  • Flexible, self-starter possessing intellectual curiosity.

  • A professional and friendly demeanor.

  • Have a keen eye for detail.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including ability to develop PowerPoint presentations, project timelines, statements of work, and other relevant materials.

  • Previous experience with managing project teams and managing consulting clients is a plus.


  • Boston, MA area preferred

  • Both remote and onsite work required

  • Ability to travel required
